Blog Brunch!

Poor Kelly is currently ill therefore probably won't be posting for awhile, which means I actually have to. Eek. The good news is I'm off for spring break with minimal homework and plenty of outfits stockpiled up I just never got around to taking pictures of.

But first, lets recap the weekend. I went and visited Kelly in Austin and went to the fantastic Blog Brunch! It was pretty much a party the whole time.

To start the day off, we had brunch which was absolutely delicious and vegetarian friendly ( good news for Kelly!). We all got to chat and be merry, then we went and made some mad cool tie belts as instructed by the ladies of wondercraft. Def never would have thought to do that myself, but it's a great way to recycle old ugly ties. Look out dad's closet, between my mom and I your days are numbered...

The news 8 team was there, recording the whole time, and we all introduced ourselves and told the 30 second version of our story as was relative to the fashion world. Some walked and some drove over for the shopping. We started out at some amazing boutiques, where I regret to say most of the items were more than I could afford, being the dirt poor art student I am. I missed the free cupcake because I had to take Kelly to work, but I came back just in time to hit up some awesome vintage stores, where I got some jewelry and two new pairs of shoes which I will post later. All and all, it was an incredible day and it was so great to meet everyone and put a voice to the words!

I don't have many photo's myself ( well, many good ones...) but feel free to check them out!

A behind the scenes look!

Mmm chocolate covered strawberries.... I couldn't resist them long enough to even take a proper photo! And THEY WERE FREE! Yay Cru!

Our waiter at cru, reppin' some mad wine glass skills and some mens well-groomed fashion. He didn't know how to react when I asked for a picture. lol

Kelly has the face of a model, no?

I'm sorry Kayla, but I had to.

And of course, the freakin' awesome goodie bag, loaded with some awesome free stuff! Yay Etsy Austin and the lovely ladies of Wonder craft!
